April the 24th.
The story of Stephen illustrates the power that the truth of the resurrection can have in the life of a person.
Throughout this season, we will see this in the lives of people portrayed in the scriptures. As we listen, we should find inspiration. We should be encouraged by what we hear. The difficulties that we face are truly different. The way that we witness to the power of our belief in the resurrection will not be as dramatic as it was in Steven's life, but it is every bit as strong and important.
Our return to hope gives us time to grow in our familiarity with the risen Lord. It is an opportunity to grow in our strength and confidence.
Thank you Lord for this moment.
