March the 3rd.
The gospel reading on this day of our return to hope reminds us of the attitude we should seek as we approach the Eucharist. The Mass is truly the greatest prayer we have. It is personal, but at the same time, it is very communal. We each enter it and pray as individuals, but we are also part of the whole people of God. Our prayer takes its power and meaning from that.
The presider is just that one: who brings us all together and speaks in our name. As part of our Lent, take time to focus on the prayers of the Eucharist and what they represent to you. Make the effort to see your importance in the community by your presence and part in the prayer of the Eucharist.
See how this makes forgiveness on your part essential for the full Eucharistic sharing.
