February the 24th.
Day three of our return to hope portrays Jesus and the Pharisees sparring over how he and his apostles lived their lives. Jewish law counseled very definite practices. Jesus didn't disagree. He just said they should be appropriate to the time and circumstances. He tells us much the same as we return to hope.
Choose wisely. You don't necessarily have to do the same thing every day. The important thing is to do something and to keep active on the journey we have begun. The time we have to read or to pray may vary from day to day, depending on the demands of our life. Find out what works and when, and then make it work. Make it as good as you can.
Lord, may your love grow and strengthen in me this Lent.
