Listen As A Podcast

 May the 19th.

The days between the Ascension and Pentecost were times of adjustment and uncertainty.

The apostles and disciples gathered in prayer as they tried to discern what they should do and how they should act in the absence of Jesus. As we conclude our journey, we too are invited by the liturgy to reflect on how we are being directed to proclaim the message and to respond to the commission at this moment in our time.

We certainly are all aware of the needs in the world. Like the first disciples, we feel rather inadequate. But like them also, we have been promised the spirit. These days of prayer offer us an opportunity to renew our awareness of the power and action of the Spirit in our lives.

Come Holy Spirit.
