May the 17th.
History shows us that humankind has always desired to know God.
At times, it has relied on the evidence of him in nature. At other times, it has depended on tradition and teachings of wisdom.
In the time of the Hebrew people, it received revelations through the patriarchs and prophets. The coming of Jesus opened a whole new page: the personal presence and manifestation of God incarnate.
We inherit this, but as the gospels tell us, there is so much more to know about God. Our return to hope has been such a moment for us. It is far from the whole picture. It is rather the part of the picture that he wants to share with us and that we need for the this moment in our lives.
