April the 9th.
HAPPY EASTER! The Lord is risen! Let us rejoice and be glad!
With that exclamation, we began our celebration of this pivotal day. We set out on the greatest part of our journey of return to hope. The resurrection of Jesus is the anchor of our hope. It marks the end of the power of death. It keys the triumph of love.
It is a mystery, just as love is a mystery. In the ensuing days of our journey, we are going to explore this mystery with Jesus as our guide and companion. We are going to view it and come to know it a little bit better. Jesus remained with his disciples for a time after his resurrection. Through scripture in the liturgy, He remains with us as we live this year.
Let our rejoicing at his resurrection begin! Alleluia!
