Welcome Brother Cristofer!

Assumption Church is happy to welcome our newest addition to the Friary and the Parish: Brother Cristofer Fernández, OFM Conv.! Brother Cristofer was born in Alexandria, VA and raised in Lorton. Brother Cristofer entered the Order in the summer of 2018 and professed his simple vows on July 16, 2020. He and Brother Joe both professed their solemn vows on August 2, 2024. Brother Cristofer will be working primarily in Franciscan Northside Ministries in the Food Pantry/Soup Kitchen and when needed in the Poverello Health Center as a translator.
